When it comes to gay men in the media, there has always been a lacking of full representation of the community. Men who are considered more feminine, in other words men who do not fit to the traditional masculine traits, have become an euphemism for gay men onscreen and offscreen. While it is not an issue that there is femininity in the gay community, it is a problem when these traits have a negative connotation to them.
This book is a research piece on where this segregation comes from and how it affects the individuals in the community. To be specific, it is an explanation to the psychology of gay men all around.
